1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes the categories of content and behavior that are prohibited on the GetABrain.ai platform. It applies to everyone who uses the Service: Requestors submitting queries through our API, and Workers responding to those queries. This AUP supplements, and is incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Service, our Requestor Agreement, and our Worker Agreement. Violating this AUP can result in content removal, suspension, or permanent termination of your account, as described in those agreements.
A note on scope: GetABrain.ai's product is literally "ask a real human to answer a question," so asking a question is never, by itself, a violation of this policy. What this AUP prohibits is using that human-in-the-loop capability to cause harm or to defraud a third party — not the general category of submitting a query.
2. Prohibited for Requestors
Requestors may not submit queries, attachments, or instructions that fall into any of the following categories:
- Illegal acts: Queries or responses that solicit, facilitate, or provide instructions for any activity that is illegal under applicable federal, state, or international law.
- Child sexual abuse material / exploitation: Any content involving child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualization of minors, or exploitation of children in any form. Zero tolerance; violations are reported to law enforcement.
- Doxxing, harassment, and stalking: Queries that request compiling, locating, or publishing private information about a specific individual (address, workplace, schedule, family members) for the purpose of harassment, stalking, or intimidation, or that otherwise facilitate harassing a specific person.
- Weapons and drug procurement assistance: Queries seeking help acquiring illegal weapons, explosives, or controlled substances, or step-by-step assistance manufacturing weapons or drugs.
- Unlicensed professional advice: Presenting worker responses as licensed medical, legal, or financial advice, or submitting queries designed to obtain individualized diagnosis, treatment, legal representation, or investment direction that should come from a licensed professional. General informational questions are permitted; queries seeking a substitute for licensed professional counsel are not.
- Academic-integrity fraud: Submitting a query for the specific purpose of having a worker's response turned in, without disclosure, as the requestor's own graded academic work (e.g. a proctored exam question, a plagiarism-checked assignment) in violation of an academic institution's honesty policy. This does not prohibit ordinary study help, practice questions, or general knowledge queries — GetABrain.ai's product is built on real humans answering real questions, and asking a question is not itself an integrity violation. The line is soliciting or facilitating fraud against a third party (a school, an employer, a licensing body), not the category of asking for help.
- PII harvesting: Using queries to systematically collect, aggregate, or extract personally identifiable information about individuals who have not consented, including scraping-by-proxy patterns that route bulk personal-data collection through worker responses.
3. Prohibited for Workers
Workers may not engage in any of the following behaviors when accepting or responding to queries:
- Impersonation: Workers may not impersonate another person, claim credentials or licenses they do not hold, or misrepresent their identity, qualifications, or authority when responding to queries.
- False or misleading answers: Workers must provide genuine, good-faith, accurate responses. Knowingly submitting false, misleading, fabricated, or intentionally low-effort answers is prohibited.
- Collusion between workers: Workers may not coordinate with other workers or third parties to manipulate ratings, split or relay query content outside the platform, or otherwise game quality scoring or rate-limit systems.
- Automated or bot-assisted answering: Workers may not use bots, scripts, browser automation, or AI systems (including but not limited to ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) to generate or substantially assist in generating responses. All responses must be genuinely human-generated by the account holder.
4. Enforcement
GetABrain.ai may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice:
- Remove or refuse to process a query or response.
- Withhold payment for a response that violates this AUP, subject to the payment terms in the Worker Agreement and Requestor Agreement.
- Suspend or permanently terminate an account.
- Report illegal content, including CSAM, to the appropriate law enforcement or child-safety authorities.
Automated and behavioral signals (including the bot-detection systems described in our Privacy Policy) may be used to help identify violations of this policy, including automated or bot-assisted answering.
